31. Rhode Island

Lucky there’s a Family Guy! Hehehehehe.

Rhode Island to me has this issue where the state is so darn small, that it is nearly impossible to select as a destination for a visit. Especially when you are just a short drive or train ride from Boston and New York, what is going to make you go out of your way to chose Rhode Island.

The state seems nice. I have it placed here for a reason. But it’s another one of those tough placements because it was somewhere I went through to get to my real destination. The beaches seem lovely and Providence seems like a pretty cool city. But how much out of my way am I going to need to go to make absolute sure that I am confident in my placement.

I will go back to Rhode Island. I know I will. I need to have a better understanding of why it’s a state that exists and what its own cultural identity is. But that might be a little difficult because if I’m going back to New England, I’d probably go to Boston first.
