The Sandies
After we completed watching all the Adam Sandler movies at the beginning of 2023, I felt like my Sandlerfest itch hadn't been completely scratched. I wanted something to celebrate the past year, so what on earth could I do? Why, host an awards show of course.
I am so glad I did Sandlerfest with my friends. It was so much fun, although I can't say I had much to be proud of though. All we did was just watch a whole bunch of movies. But for the award show I hosted for Sandlerfest titled "The Sandies", I certainly was.

I wanted to go all out for the event, so I planned it over the course of a couple months, and once we found the ideal date, March 4th, 2023, we were all set. All of this took creating the categories, sending out the polls to the voters (those being my friends of course), finding the perfect date, creating a presentation that not only had who the winners were, but a clip for each nomination, and of course dressing up for the part (It is an awards show after all!) It took a lot, but I was so happy with the product.
So in celebration of me now being almost finished with my "Sandlerfest in Review" blog, Let's go over what the categories were, what the nominations were, and what ended up winning a "Sandy". You may be asking what kind of awards were given out, but I think it'll make sense once you begin to see the categories.

I hope this gives a little more insight into what we thought about each movie. Every part of "The Sandies" was so much fun! It truly felt a little bit like an end of an era. But I'll get a little bit more into that in my final post tomorrow!
